About me

Suryaa (she/her) is an Illustrator and storyteller, passionate about creating works that are joyful, empathetic, inclusive, and informative.

She worked in development in the US and India, specializing in fundraising (aka, really, storytelling) for causes addressing access to quality education for underserved communities, mental health resources, sexuality and sex education, gender based violence and human rights.

She has a playlist for every mood, dog eared books she re-reads every few years, loves food (but practically lives on coffee or chai), and is hoping to one day be a good parent to a dog named Lemon.
